Switch to Testnet on Petra
Step-by-step guide to configure Petra wallet for the Shelby network
This guide will walk you through switching to the Testnet network on your Petra wallet, enabling you to interact with Testnet directly from your browser.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- Petra Wallet installed in your browser (Download here)
Switching to Testnet Network
Switch to Aptos Testnet Network
- Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the bottom right to open Settings
- Navigate to the Network section
- Select testnet from the list of networks
- You should now see your wallet connected to the Aptos Testnet network
You're now connected to the Aptos Testnet network! Your account address remains the same across all Aptos networks.
Funding Your Account
After switching to the Testnet network, you'll need both APT (for gas fees) and ShelbyUSD (for storage operations). Enter your wallet address in the faucet to receive testnet tokens.
